This is so funny. Complainers in Group #1 weren't even at Atlanta or Chicago so they were just spreading gossip. Group #2 were those who said that the shows are in a downward spiral, there’s nothing new, blah, blah, blah, but upon further investigation you find out that they didn't take advantage of everything the markets have to offer. If all they are doing is running down the halls handing people orders they might as well stay home and use the fax machine. What happened to networking? Looking for display ideas? Visiting local stores? Or attending a seminar or two? It really blows my mind how much people actually miss out on when handed an opportunity to educate themselves or further their business skills and contacts.<BR/><BR/>As you said, we all are well aware that the economy is not booming, but feeding on the rumors is a self-fulfilling prophecy; if you sit around and moan and groan your business is only going to grow in 1 direction (and it’s not upward!). If you chose to work and shop smarter you will continue to grow and succeed. Glad that you spoke up and offered concrete evidence that people ARE attending and buying.
